STEPS IN ADMISSION

Step 1: go to an open house.

Attending a monthly Open House is an excellent way to learn more about the Star experience. We invite prospective students' parents, careers, and educational experts to attend an informational presentation and tour of the facilities and classrooms.

Step 2: Finish the Application

Our admissions process is thorough, taking into account each applicant's entire learning and social-emotional profile. Completed applications and supporting documentation are reviewed thoroughly in the order they are received. There are no application deadlines, but classes fill up quickly, so apply in January or February for the fall semester.

You Will consider students for current-year placement if space is available. However, before applying, you should contact the Admissions Director to check classroom availability. Private School Tuition Fees are the fees charged by a school for teaching your child.

For an application to be considered complete and ready for review, it must include all needed documentation and the $150 application fee.

Step 3: Student Visits

Following the first application evaluation, if your student appears to be a good fit for our program, we will invite them to shadow in one of our classrooms for two days. We make every effort to ensure visiting students feel welcome and successful during their time at Star.

 You Will watch your kid in several daily situations to determine their skills, challenges, and possible fit for our program. Feedback from teachers and specialists who saw your student is also included in the admissions decision.

Step 4: Admissions Decision

Given our meticulous attention and thought to each application, the admissions process can take 3 to 10 weeks, depending on the time of year. Our most significant volume of queries and applications is received between February and June, so please be aware that the process may take a little longer. Applications received in late June or during July will be held for review in August when we return to class.

The Director of Admissions and the Head of the School will make the final admissions decision. Prospective parents will be sent a letter informing them of the decision.

Step 5: Family Decision and Deposit

Accepted students' families have 15 days following acceptance to submit a $5,000 non-refundable deposit to confirm their child's participation in the class*. Once your student is registered, you can apply for Tuition Assistance.

*Star will directly manage contracts and tuition for publicly-funded students with school districts.
